Daily Roundup, 05/28/12

The Cubs won!
- Against the Padres, when the Padres scored seven runs!
– There were EIGHT combined home runs in this game.

The Pirates are now .500.

Jordan Zimmermann – as in the pitcher – homered.
- And lost.
– The Marlins are 19-8 in May.

The Angels’ starter left without getting an out, and they made two ugly errors in the top of the first.
- By the end of the first, they were winning 4-3.
– They won despite a team scoring eight runs against them on a night Jered Weaver started for them.
— Mark Trumbo has two career triples, and in both of those games he was a single shy of the cycle.

Chris Sale struck out 15.

David Wright played shortstop
- because a Met got hurt. We’re pretty sure this makes it CAN Predict Ball, but shhh.
