-Atlanta still won, because their three hits were a triple and two homers.
–They are the ninth team this year to have no singles or doubles in a game, and the third to win such a game. Worth noting that five of the six teams who lost such games had no singles or doubles because they had no hits at all.

Clay Buchholz gave up just one run in eight innings.
-But was still on the hook for the loss until the Red Sox walked off in the ninth.
–Pedro Ciriaco, designated hitter.

Raul Ibanez and Prince Fielder both hit infield singles.

The Cubs have won 14 of their last 19.

Jose Molina stole a base!

Gio Gonzalez has a 4.93 ERA in his last nine starts after putting up a 2.04 mark in his first ten.
-The Mets bullpen didn’t blow this one.

The Yankees lost in Oakland.
