Daily Roundup 08/02/12

The Red Sox got two hit.
– By the Twins.
— Both hits were from Adrian Gonzalez.
—- This happened at Fenway, not the more predictable Target Field.
—– Via @PeteAbe Jon Lester has 11 quality starts this season. He is 3-3 in those games; the Red Sox are 3-8.

Mitch Moreland stole a base.
– Ryan Dempster and C.J. Wilson started for their respective teams…
— And they BOTH stayed in the game long enough to surrender eight runs. Via @ESPNstatsinfo and Elias, the last time opposing starters did that was April 25, 2009 (A.J. Burnett & Josh Beckett, in a Red Sox-Yankees game. Of course.)
—- Josh Hamilton actually had two hits.

Via @Jay_Jaffe, Johnny Cueto who had a league-best 0.3 HR/9, just gave up a homer to Eddie Rodriguez in his 1st MLB at-bat.
