A Red Sox/Yankees ESPN Sunday night game was under three hours.
- Ichiro hit two home runs.

The Pirates/Cardinals game went nineteen innings.
- Of course, this brought back memories of this game from last year.
– This time, though, the Pirates pulled it out.
— James McDonald had a pinch-hit single.
—- Pinch-hitter Adam Wainwright was walked -
—– By Wandy Rodriguez. In the 18th inning.

Jeremy Guthrie had a no-hitter through almost seven innings.
- Against the White Sox, too.
– Who were swept by the Royals.
— For the first time since 2003! These two teams play each other a lot.
—- Jeff Francoeur was IBBed three times in this series.
—– Kansas City is actually in third place in the ALC, which says a lot about the AL Central.

Boston is only one game ahead of Seattle.
- Seattle’s team OPS at home is .593, and they’re .500 there.
– The Red Sox, on the other hand, are 29-34 at home.

Giancarlo Stanton didn’t homer at Coors.

Ryan Vogelsong: 3 IP, 8 H, 3 R/ER, 1 BB, 7 K
- And 96 pitches (!!!).
– Against the Padres.

And Kyle Kendrick: 8 IP, 3 H, 0 R/ER, 1 BB, 7 K.
