Daily Roundup, 08/25/12

Reminder that this was a mere 17 months ago.
- Also, while we recognize it’s far more complicated than that, James Loney was the headliner in the package Boston got back for Adrian Gonzalez, Carl Crawford, Josh Beckett, and Nick Punto.
– We love the “and Nick Punto” part of the deal, by the way.
— Meanwhile, the Red Sox have blown two six-run leads in a week.
—- This one was to the Royals. At Fenway.
—– Jeff Francoeur walked both intentionally and unintentionally in this one.
—— The Red Sox lost despite twenty hits.
——- And keep in mind, they didn’t have Adrian Gonzalez (or Punto or Crawford) on the team to get those twenty hits.
——– This year, the Red Sox are 0-6 at home in extra innings.

Adrian Gonzalez homered in his first at-bat as a Dodger. Maybe not so much unpredictable as cool.
- Andre Ethier homered off a lefty.
– Ethier has hits in ten straight at-bats.

The Indians won
- against the Yankees.

The Mets actually won, too
- at home.

Mike Minor had a double and a walk off Madison Baumgarner. That puts Minor’s OPS at a healthy .159 on the year.
