James Loney hit cleanup today.
–For the Red Sox.
—- He hit a home run, even.

Mike Baxter and Cliff Pennington both hit home runs today.

Jim Johnson of the Orioles has more saves (41) than the Astros have wins (40).

The Cubs drew 11 walks today.
– They surrendered 11 runs and at one point trailed 9-3, and still won.
—- Predictably, this happened against the Brewers’ bullpen.
——-Jonathan Lucroy hit a grand slam.

The Cardinals scored a run, which is not at all unpredictable except that it was the first run they scored in the last 28 innings.
–Despite the streak, the Cardinals still have the second best run differential in MLB, trailing only the Rangers.

The Tigers had 12 hits and scored just one run.
– They outhit the Royals by a decent margin, and lost.
