The Tigers got two-hit shut out.
- By Madison Bumgarner, who had an ERA over 11 in the postseason so far.
– The Tigers were only shut out twice all season.
— This is actually the second time the Tigers got shut out in the postseason.

Gregor Blanco reached base on a bunt that never rolled foul.
- The Giants’ first run then scored on a double play.

Doug Fister got hit in the head with a batted ball…
- and was fine. (at least, as far as we know)
– after walking the next batter, he retired twelve in a row.
— and still got the loss.
