Daily Roundup, 10/27/12

In 162 games, the Tigers were only shut out twice. They’ve been shut out twice in a row in the World Series, now, and three times in the postseason overall.

The Giants are also the first team to shut out a team twice in a row in the World Series since the 1966 Orioles, who did it to the Dodgers.
- The last AL team to get shut out twice in a row was the 1919 White Sox. UH OH!

Ryan Vogelsong got two fairly critical GIDP in this game; he only had one multi-GIDP game all season.

h/t Sam Miller, Tim Lincecum had eight swinging strikes in his 32 pitches. Seven of his starts had fewer than eight swinging strikes this year.
