– Jose Iglesias and Pedro Ciriaco went 6-8 with two doubles.

Jeremy Guthrie has allowed 18 runs (17 earned) in his last three starts, after allowing 13 (12 earned) in his first seven.

The Pirates won a game in Milwaukee.

The Yankees won a series at the Trop. They hadn’t done that in three years.
- Fernando Rodney’s ERA is over 6.
– Vidal Nuno and Matt Moore both struck out two over six innings.

Mike Minor homered.
- Minor came into the game with a career .074/.123/.102 line. Even among pitchers, few are worse than that.
– Ike Davis got a hit!
— It was off Craig Kimbrel.

Angel Pagan inside-the-park walkoff home run.
- That’s the first ITP walkoff HR since 2004.

The Marlins tied the game on a home run in the ninth.
- They lost anyway. That’s back to back walkoff wins for the White Sox.

Matt Kemp was double-switched out of a one-run game.
- Nick Punto is hitting .340/.427/.420 in 120 PAs.

The Astros had two players hit two homers.
- They still lost. By six runs.

Freddy Garcia outpitched RA Dickey.
- Emilio Bonifacio homered. So did Danny Valencia.

Everth Cabrera has homered on back-to-back nights.
- He already has four home runs for a career high.
– In fact, prior to this year, over 1137 PAs, he only had five total home runs.

    FWIW, Freddy Garcia is 36; R.A. Dickey is 38…Hard to believe Freddy is younger..
