Andrew Cashner triple.
- He’s a pitcher.
– That’s actually the first pitcher triple of the year. Better late than never, right?

Jayson Werth was caught stealing.
- That’s the first time all season, in ten attempts.
– That might not seem like many, but in Werth’s career, he is 123-for-140 in stolen bases. (h/t Adam Kilgore)

Jerome Williams beat the A’s.
- He actually shut them out through seven.
– With this win, Williams beat the A’s three times in one season…
— on three different teams. He got the win on April 26 for Houston, pitching out of the bullpen. The Astros released him and he moved on to the Rangers, where he beat them on July 25. After he was claimed on waivers by the Phillies, he beat them today.
—- Williams is the first pitcher in history to beat a team three times on three different teams in one season.
—– He only has six wins all year.

Tony Cruz home run.
