Daily Roundup, 07/25/10

That blizzard would be nice right now instead of another huge rainstorm that ends up just making it more humid…….

- The Mets’ RA Dickey, over his last five starts, is 0-3… with an ERA under 2.

- The Marlins had their fourth walk-off in a week.

- Hey, the Rays won two in a row in Cleveland!

- Yesterday, Mark Teixeira had two home runs, but the Yankees lost to the Royals. Today, Scott Podsednik had two home runs – SCOTT PODSEDNIK!!!! – but the Royals lost to the Yankees.

- A week ago, Sean O’Sullivan was on the Angels. He faced the Yankees in Yankee Stadium, and beat them. Then, he got traded to the Royals in the Alberto Callaspo deal. His next start? For the Royals, against the Yankees at Yankee Stadium. He lost.

- This was Minnesota’s lineup today:
Now there are SOME guys who can hit the ball there, but…eesh. Anyway, they had 19 hits and scored 10 runs. It was against the Orioles, but seriously.

- Jose Molina and Danny Worth homered in the same game!

- Detroit’s closer Jose Valverde hadn’t allowed a home run since April 7, a span of 142 at-bats. Today, he allowed two home runs in back-to-back games.

Sadly, not too much else to report. Hopefully tomorrow will be wackier.
